For as long as I can remember, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would proudly exclaim, “I want to be a businesswoman like my mommy!” I didn’t really have any idea what my mom did, but she wore high heels and suits and seemed really important, and I wanted to be just like her.
As expected, I’ve followed in her footsteps. I’m the Executive Assistant to a CEO and I have my own business. In fact, I’m almost always pursuing some other side goal or project. Coming home after work and watching TV for 3 hours until bed, does not constitute a fulfilling life for me.
I’m a mother, first. I have a beautiful 5 year old daughter who is the light of my life. And I’m a hustler, second. I will always be a goal getter and strive for more.
I’m also a confidence advocate. I empower women. I encourage women to follow their dreams. I spread positivity. And girl, if we’re going to be friends, I’m going to ask you what your goals are like, every week!
